Every year in during the first week of May, International Office for Students organizes an International Friendship Day. With the contribution of international students, embassies and other students, the participants introduce their countries, provide cultural information, exhibit folk art examples, offer cuisine samples, and organize local dances and music performances in the all day long festive atmosphere. Every year approximately 45 countries and their embassies attend this event. The aim is to present the international diversity of the university, provide a space for students to experience other cultures first hand, and work as a team to actualize this event. The day ends with displaying and waving country flags in unison.
